UPDATE: I want to comment here briefly on the "April Rose scandal"...if you have no idea what I'm talking about then you can stop reading here and jump down to the original post below...if you do know what I'm talking about then read on. I'm purposely not linking to anywhere because its not something that more people need to know about. However, if you do already know about it I want to express honestly my feelings. I'm very sad that something like this would happen. And I'm concerned that because of this scandal that others will not donate to this very real and important cause we are doing here.
As I've thought about all of this a quote came to my mind that goes something like this, "The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing." I feel like if people don't donate for my friend Natalie solely because of this "April Rose" thing then evil will have won in this. Please don't let that happen, don't give power or purpose to a very wrong decision someone else made. If you have any reservations AT ALL about our legitimacy please don't hesitate to email me... amy.chinagal@gmail.com and if email isn't enough I will call you. If those that know me or Natalie personally would leave a comment to this post affirming our character maybe that would help those that are wary. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any concerns.
Once we raise enough money and Natalie goes to see this doctor we will post pictures and Natalie will write her own thoughts and updates so you can see for yourself what a wonderful blessing you have been in someone's life. I'll probably have Natalie write something really soon anyway just for fun. Please...we need your help.

nice blog
So I don't know Natalie, but I do know Amy, and I know she would never do anything to hurt anyone, intentionally or otherwise. I've seen her suffer after losing her own baby and know she is truly trying to help someone avoid going through that pain.
I do not know either of you personally but I am so touched by your story and your heart to help others in the midst of your own recent loss. I pray that others will to see your good works and support this cause. "By there fruits, ye shall know them." You have shown us your fruit, and it is good. I pray for you and this cause. Thanks, Shauna
Hi- I found your blog through another that I read. I too am in my 20th week of pregnancy after losing my first daughter at 36 weeks to a cord trauma. I am seeing a specialist as well, but my insurance is paying. Will insurance not cover these expenses?
It took me 10 years to get pregnant naturally, just as we were going in for our 1st fertility appt, we found out we got pregnant naturally. Lost our son at 16w3d due to Pprom. 9 mos later I was pregnant again - again, right before we went back in for fertility options and I rented a machine that detected the heart beat for $21/month. It was the BEST thing I could have done for my sanity. Had I known there were Dr's out there that offered this service I would have done what ever it took to take advantage of it. I will be donating on payday and pray that they bring a baby home this time.
Paige..I'm pretty sure most insurances won't pay for this because its not considered "necessary" by the medical field since cord "accidents" are considered just that, an accident. This doctor isn't just a high risk doctor, he is a specialist in cord accidents.
Also...Natalie and Rob just finished school and moved for a new job so their insurance doesn't kick in until the beginning of August. So all her appointments from now until then are paid for straight out of pocket. yikes!
I'm very sorry for your loss. I hope that this next pregnancy goes well for you. Best of luck!
Having lost my little baby girl soon after her birth I totally understand the fear of "what if" for the next pregnancy. My prayers are with you during this very difficult but exciting time. After my experiences we are taking a break from pregnancy and are "expecting" our son from Korea any day now.
When/if I am able to get pregnant again I would want to have this same reassurance that everything is ok with my baby. I will pray for you and your little one. I hope my small gift helps you reach your goal.
In His love,
Jen
So glad that I could help. I donated $5. Please let me know if I can help by creating a custom card to sell to raise money for her!!

This is just an idea, but I do lots of blog giveaways on my personal blog. I go to ETSY find a shop or two that I like and then ask them if they would be willing to donate an item to my blog for a giveaway. Not one single store has ever said no. You can find local shops too. That way they can add a little note to their shop so that people can see whats going on. Its a great way to reach people, help the ETSY shop increase traffic and sales, and you too. Just an idea!!!
I came across your blog from Kelly's Korner Blog and am so touched by your story. My husband gets paid on Monday and I am going to donate some money then. I will also keep you all in my thoughts and prayers for a healthy pregnancy and baby.
Sarah
found this blog from Kelly's Korner. will be praying for this family.
I know Rob and Natalie, and this is an amazing oppurtunity to have the technology to help them through this next pregnancy. This is a real story, and we are so thankful for so many kind generous people, and for the person who put this all together. They are all heaven sent.
I can appreciate you and your friends story! Not because I have lost a child, but because my sister is in a wheelchair (She has MS) and a friend of hers set up a website to help raise money for a chair lift so she can utilize her basement. We were amazed by the outpouring of love, and help. I hope that I can be a small part of your miracle, just as so many friends, family, and strangers were a part of my sisters.
